Furniture and joinery
design - manufacture - installation
For 20 years we have been making a wide range of furniture and joinery. We respond creatively to clients requirements, and this has led us into some very interesting and challenging projects. We provide design advice and drawings as a matter of course, and this helps all parties to have a clear vision of how the final product will look and function. Our knowledge of manufacture and installation allows us to make practical suggestions to architects and designers, which can streamline the process without compromising the original concept. Our customers include institutions, developers, interior designers and building companies. We also design and make furniture for private clients. Our inner London location (adjacent to the 2012 Olympic site) is ideal for supporting projects in all areas of London. Our workforce is multi-skilled, matching the wide range of products we can produce. Machinery is used to make the manufacture efficient and precise, but assembly and finishing is still done by individual craftsmen. Along the way, a range of knowledge and contacts have been built in related fields. These include metalwork, upholstery and glass processing. This is an essential aspect of our comprehensive service.

This Victorian house was bought by a developer and refurbished to the highest standard. Their concept was to maintain period character, but build in all the modern infrastructure to make the house attractive to a discriminating buyer. Fitted furniture included walnut units in all the bathrooms, wardrobes and a kitchen. Period door sets were traditionally constructed, but were assessed by fire engineers to give the required fire rating.

Lincolns Inn Reception Desk
Arcanthus Clews
This reception furniture was constructed from quarter sawn European oak and American black walnut. The corners of the desk were fixed with large scale finger joints. Shadow lines between the panels were created with recessed walnut strips. The desk also featured bronzed brass glazing frames. The room is lined with original 1850s oak bookcasing, to which we fitted solid oak panelled doors to conceal the workings of a busy office.

This housed three concealed sound mixing units, which when pulled out 1.2 metres from the desk were able to support in excess of 200 kg.
